The Quality Assurance Program (accreditation)
What does the "ACCREDITED" seal of approval mean for me?
The Quality Assurance Program is designed to  raise the quality of agritourism products and services in BC. Farms and wineries that want to participate in this program complete an application form and undergo an inspection, to ensure they meet the required standards.
To become accredited, an agritourism business must meet nine quality standards:
•  All legal requirements and all necessary licences and permits for the business
    have been obtained.
•  Where food is prepared or served, the owner, manager and one person on
    shift have Food Safe training.
•  Where alcohol is served, the owner, manager and all staff who serve alcohol
    have Serving it Right training.
•  Business hours are posted and adhered to.
•  The business has insurance, including public liability.
•  Current marketing materials accurately describe business.
•  Clean toilet facilities with hand washing facilities are available to customers.
•  Hand washing facilities with soap and clean paper towels are available.
•  Areas accessible to guests are well maintained and free from hazards.
